The Music Vision Project

defying disability with music

If you like the sound of what we do and feel that you would like to help, we would love to hear from you. We know that we badly need help with fundraising, performance logistics (getting stuff to the venue, set up and working, taking it all back down again and transporting it) and so on but you may have a special talent that you think would be useful - talking to participants, playing music and coaching musicians, or whatever you think would be of benefit to us. Young people join us on work experience for a week or two for instance, and that can give them more insight into the rewards and pitfalls of working as a support worker for someone with a disability.

Many of our participants become volunteers as part of their progress towards greater self confidence and esteem. This has helped some to attain part and full time employment, holding jobs they once considered to be out of their reach.

Please use the contact us link to get in touch for more details or visit us at our workshops which are held each Wednesday in term time at Currock House, Lediard Avenue, Carlisle between 10.30 and 3.30pm.
